That's actually kind of scary that Ergashev has the power to blast guys the hell out in a single round, yet has been pushed since virtually puberty by his coach to always be ready to fight bouts of lengths that haven't been in practice since the 19th century.

Well, in Estrella's case it was probably arroz rojo y carne de vaca (con poquito clenbuterol "para dar sabor") rather than pilaf. But yeah.

...poor El Sicario has no idea what he's getting himself into here. By the night's end he might be wishing he could trade places with Estrella.

 

Round 1

Shishkin is spreading his base wide, bending his left knee and letting his rear leg straighten out diagonally back & to his left as he stalks and lobs right hands at the body of Sierra. Now pulling himself upright, lead rights up top from Shishkin, blocked. Sierra doing a decent job of slipping & weaving at medium-long range, as well as playing a little catch-and-shoot with his jab versus Shishkin's. A minute left and neither has really scored anything of note very cleanly. Double right hand into the guard by Shishkin. Fat sweeping left hook up top by Sierra, leaves him open to get pierced with a Shishkin counter right. Huge sloppy overhand by Sierra coming forward briefly. Shishkin dances away laterally, then rushes in and scores a few more short rights.
