The biggest thing that stands out for me in this vid is actually how amazing pac's chin is and how quickly he recovers from shots.

Had he fought them at 126lb when those two moved up, he would be just as popular I believe. Among die hard fans, certainly.

Bad management moves early in his career. he thought the belts was the end all and be all of a great fighter, I think he would be more popular but not nearly as MAB and terrible. he wasnt as "macho" and he doesnt have the epic trilogy the two had. just my opinion though

A trilogy was more than possible had he not allowed his trainer to play manager. He wasn't as macho, but his offensive abilities are understated. I feel Marquez has always been exciting, just not to the extent of Morales and Barrera.

He just became offensive minded recently, initiating the action etc, for marketability i think. Marquez in a trilogy?
He wont get this massive mexican support if he didnt give pac such a tough fight, which is a testament to his greatness and his trainer. Sadly he will be remembered as an afterthought to the casual fans as pacs greatest challenge. He wont be ATG imo.

despite the controversies with the pacman fights, i think there's no doubt in my mind he's still going down as an atg. i agree that he doesn't display the machismo of mab and el terrible, but in the ring he certainly does. the fights he supposedly lost vs. pacman and norwood were too close to call and the one he lost to chris john was a robbery. i think a rubber match with pac would be the pinnacle for both pacmans and dinamita's careers to see who really is the better fighter between the 2. it HAS to be done

how so? his resume isnt really as good as PAc,mab, eric? Im still iffy about the third fight to be honest. If jmm wins big agains baby bull, and diaz turns out great that will bosst his atg chances,no way he makes atg imho.

lets put it this way JMM has a chance to unify the 135lb division and be the only mexican to be champ in 4 weight divisions. Deffinitely an Atg

i don't agree with your opinion, but i'll respect it. casa even at 37 was still the best lightweight in the world, not manny, not jmm, before jmm dethroned him. a victory over casa is just as good as a win over barrera or morales. i'm a pacfan myself as much as i am a dinamita fan, but putting favorites aside for the experts to say marquez won and the majority of fans that tells me even tho manny won that second fight juan manuel marquez is his equal. that is why my friend a third fight is necessary to make things alittle clearer. put up a poll and i guarantee you it would be a top 3 most wanted fight
