Excluding the HW division without upper limit, as tall fighters there also pack a ton of muscle, if the weight is the same short fighters are usually much more intimidating than tall fighters.

For example guys like Maidana, Duran and Khurtsidze recently... You know that these guys are going to come forward and look for a brutal KO. Even at HW you have Mike Tyson, Povetkin, Tua, Marciano, Frazier... All of them intimidating guys.

Shorter fighters in most cases develop a very aggressive style. If you train boxing even and some short guy (for his weightclass) comes to the gym even if you don't know anything him beforehand you know that he is going to come to FIGHT.

Is anyone else a big fan of short fighters?

Tall fighters are mostly lame. Margarito is one of the rare exceptions.

you dream about that guy? btw, one of the most interesting fights at hw to be made right now would be fury ignoring his drug suspensions and flying off to russia to fight povetkin. probably also be one of the top couple paying fights available to a hw at the moment too.

you are obsessed with that guy. he would easily be the second best name on fury's resume. fighting him would easily be fury's second biggest payday. you just are refusing to deal in reality because you dislike the guy.

There's no way Fury would beat Povetkin. Povetkin hits too hard and is too short for Fury. He would close the distance and butcher him.

I've known enough small guys who looked nothing but were absolute nutters to know this.

If I see Tyson and Joshua next to eachother and had no idea who they were, then big ass Joshua would impress me a lot more as little Tyson.

Yeah but that's because he's heavier.

If two boxers weigh the same the shorter guy will look more intimidating (more muscular).
