I was just watching Dwight Qawi an got to thinking, what fighters were were small in height and had decent, or very good success, an made the lack of height an advantage?

Montell Griffin was only 5'7 and was very successfull at 175. He used his lack of height to his advantage extremely well.

How about 4'10 1/2 Jake Matlala?

Very good fighter, win over Carbajal as well.

a recent thread reminds me to vouch for stevie johnston as a effective shorter fighter.

the late agapito sanchez used his shorter hight very well (in one case drawing with manny pacquaio)

Pascual Perez, I think he was only 4 10.

Just looked on Boxrec they have him at 4 11 but still short and a great fighter.

Of course Tommy Burns. He was a short but good heavyweight in his times. It is no shame to lose against Jack Johnson.
