I just read where there's some kind of muscular band which goes around the temples that's normally a 1/4 inch thick. Supposedly, Hagler's is an inch thick. The man was just built for fisticuffs.
It always seemed like when he had a guy hurt and backing up that he'd catch them with those long hooks.

would like to know where you read that as I'm curious, Marv's temples seemed to not have muscle to me.

I read it in 'Sorcery at Caesars'. Here's the quote from page 35 (paperback edition):

"Most temporalis muscles are a quarter-inch thick, but both of Hagler's were one inch, a phenomenon that astounded his physician when it was discovered during a routine exam in 1983".

    Pretty amazing if true.

lets not forget are modern day freak paul williams...he is 6'1 and 80/81' reach
now at welter he is not small but at 6'1 he is taller and has a longer reach than sam peter.he is close to wlads reach i think aswell.

    that is absoultly crazy!!!

dwight qawi 5'6/5'5.....72' inch reach. very compact guy tho.
humberto gonzalez 5'1 (i think) 67 inch reach
    George Dixon 5'3 70'

who was that guy who beat gary lockett (dont be a dick and say pavlik) he was tiny but was easily snapping a long jab in lockets face.
