    Folks,

Quick and easy here... Can Shannon Briggs rebound from his loss to V.K. and still kick ass over the likes of: "Toney, Thompson or Rahman" in 2011???

If so, is Shannon Briggs still a legitimate top-10 contender?

From what I have heard, Briggs was not truly rated here in the top-10 in 2010... BUT! Based on his grit and toughness he displayed last night against V.K., I think some judges are full of ****... YES! His offense lacked, but, his ability to absorb punishment is truly world class.... Briggs makes my top-10 in 2010....

    Q:

What would or can Briggs do against other old farts like: "Toney, Thompson or Rahman?"

    MR.BILL:bbb:hat:good

I'd watch Briggs vs. any of them but Briggs vs. Toney would be interesting, to say the least.

Was Briggs in your top ten before he was a proposed opponent for Vitali Klitschko?

It seems at this stage that anyone with stamina and movement can beat Briggs.

I want to see Briggs fight again. Yes, Briggs would stop all three of them. I have respect for Briggs. I am very concerned about his health now thought.

One thing is certain, Haye is extremely afraid of Vitali and Vladimir Klitscho. Vitali just put Briggs into intensive care, broke both eye sockets, nose, jaw, giving Briggs a concussion, etc., doctors were afraid that Briggs had bleeding on the brain! All because the referee did not stop the fight. Briggs was too brave for his own good. And the English refere? Is the an Haye fan? He did not want to stop the fight for what reason? Guess...............

And now a busted ear drum?! The British referee did not want to stop the fight. British referee! Hear that?

Never underestimate the extreme hate for the Klitschkos by some, esp. British. Vitali's performances speak for themselves. Watch the fight, that's all you have to do.

Given the extreme punishment he received against Vitali, I think Briggs should care more about his health than about being a top-contender. He is not a young man, and taking a beating like that is not healthy.

I don't think he will be a top10 contender anymore.

any word on if Briggs plans to keep fighting

I heard about the broken orbital bones and other injures he suffered. Plus he also tore something in his shoulder and might need surgery to boot

I think Briggs needs to hang it up and enjoy the rest of his life. No sense in taking another beating like that. Hopefully he recovers quickly.

He may need to take a while off before he gets back in the ring again. Vitali might have done some major damage to his career. He also has to lose another 20 pounds

Yes. Enjoy your retirement, Briggs. You deserve it.
