Which boxers had the shortest primes?
Riddick Bowe, Donald Curry and Mike Tyson are obvious choices that come to mind.
Riddick Bowe was literally like one fight ... Lol
Dude was just lazy
Ken Norton, especially since he got off to a late start.
Lloyd Honeygan. Short Prime but very good during those few years.
Razor Ruddock needs an honorable mention.
Boxed beautifully until he decapitated Dokes. Then he became a headhunter. Wins over Weaver, Smith and Dokes had people believing he was the next big thing. Unfortunately he ran into Tyson.
Lionel Rose had a short but spectacular peak.
Barry mcguigans prime was all of 30 seconds
Riddick Bowe’s prime lasted 36 minutes.
Mcaguigan’s a good one. Jorge Lujan, Alfonso Zamora would be others. There’s a lot of fighters who found lightening in a bottle for a short moment.
I've always felt that Tyson reached his apex instead of his 'prime', if you know what I mean.
Against Fighting Harada
I submit Buster Douglas should be added, along with the others mentioned.
