Turning your head so that a punch lands illegally is a foul, that is what Jones tried to do. It's irrelevant though, after seeing several angles at several speeds, the punch landed in a legal spot. The legal area extends beyond the ear; I repeat, behind the ear is not a foul, it has to actually be clearly on the back of the head. Green landed within the legal area. RJJ fans are the biggest whiners and hypocrites in the world. They cry when Calzaghe showboated a little because they say he would have never done it to a prime Roy. What they don't realize is Jones showboated against all fighters, good or bad, or part time garbage collectors; Calzaghe was also past his prime. Just stop with the whining Jones fans; the shot landed in a legal area, and if it hadn't, the foul would have been on Jones. There isn't a loss that Jones fans don't have an absurd excuse for, and even if they admit defeat, they complain about somebody showboating the sports worst showboater. It is childish, and makes about as much sense as Hopkins still wanting to fight Jones. Australia is not in Europe, Jones was not defending himself intelligently, just ****ing stop with the denial and bull****, and flat out elementary school ignorance in Hopkins' case.
Nard's confused left and right while doing color commentary - thinking Sydney is in Austria is hardly surprising. ;-)
Green didn't do anything wrong IMO. At one point, after the KD he seemed to hold RJJ's head with the left and tag him with a right, but I don't think it had an effect.
Nothing wrong with that punch and the way that fight turned out. Whether or not Jones should have even been in the ring anymore is another issue.
Green did nothing wrong, but the punch landed in a spot that is most of the time illegal. Accidental, it's whatever. Sucks it happened like that.
