You guys aren't paying attention. It was conflicting contract obligations that kept the fight from happening. Probably Mares and Show vs Nonito and HBO. Seems the real obstacle now is the network wars and they have the biggest purse strings.

Low blower was a disgrace against Agbeko. But donaire is a diva and should sign up asap to fight Rigo or shut the F up.

You're probably right. He says in the article they want more children and that dirty low blow ******* Mares could jeopardize those plans.

IF Donaire actually goes ahead and fights Rigo, I see no reason to accuse him of ducking Mares. Rigo is clearly the higher-risk, lower-reward option.

That said, the part where he only says "Possibly Rigo" frightens me.. if he ends up going up against Darchinyan instead of either of these guys, then quack, quack.

Again, it must be noted that the GBP contract allowed GBP to walk away from the fight with no liability whatsoever. No right minded promoter or fighter will sign a contract like that.

Mares was a young kid and Rigo was a grown man at that time.

Times have changed, and so has Mares.. he's grown into a real professional.

Well Mares is no Cordoba so he probably doesnt stand much of a shot against this unstoppable beast.

i dont know what mental state you were in when you typed that up, but Donaire isn't ducking Mares, he's ducking rigo. Mares would be easy work.

Easy work is someone who gets KD by a jab. That is not Mares.

You Cubans would be good boxers if you didnt have glass chins.

Let him fight either one, as long as he eventually fights both, it's all good.
