    No such thing.

Earnie Shavers overhand right on Larry Holmes proves that.

Yeah there's no way of telling whether a certain shot would have KO'd someone else I was just thinking about shots which almost make you wince they were that devestating.

    Pretty much.

There's no way of telling. It's tough to picture Hagler getting KO'd with one shot, but like Graham, if he happened to run into that right hand by Jackson, and didn't see it coming, who knows what could have happened? Maybe he gets shakes it off, maybe he gets dropped and gets up, maybe he gets KO'd. No way to tell. If I remember correctly, the worst I've seen him stunned was against Hart (not Hearns), toward the end of a round.

If I were to guess, I don't think Hagler gets knocked out, but who knows?

The shot that Hearns KO'd Duran with, well, Duran was already hurt in that round and had been dropped twice in the first round. So are we taking that into account too?

The left hook that Frazier landed on Ali in their first fight would have put just about anyone else out.

Recently Groves 1st Round Knock down of Froch

Audley Harrison 12th round One Punch K.O. of Michael Sprott in there European title fight earned Harrison so much! 30 seconds more and his career would've been over

Hatton also was moving INTO the shot to add to the impact.

Mosley's shot that buckled Mayweather's knees wasn't an especially big shot. It just happened to land around the temple area and Mayweather didn't see it coming. The first shot landed cleaner.

When was the last time Mosley had taken out a guy with a single shot anyway?

I don't neither. It was Pac supermanning like into his opponent like he always does. Just a perfect KTFO counter by JMM. He had been timing it all night.

    these are good shouts,
    Hearns vs Duran
    PAC's shot on hatton
    Rahmans shot on Lewis

you my little young fella are a phukin moron, how would you think ssm was ever roided after he admitted to it , anyone who thinks he was amitting to epo under oath that he then continued to use is a total ******, no other explanation.

and ssm hit floyd clean on the chin and shook him but the 2nd shot is the one that did major damage and one of the worst places to be hit. high on the side of the head.

did you see LM go down from garcia with the same location shot, and he wasnt even hit hard.

that ssm head shot on floyd with all his power all his might and floyd didnt even think there was anything incoming. possibly Marg could have taken it but thats just opionions. what we do know is ssm has KO'd many fighters with far less impact in far less concussive places to land.

what i do know is most top WW's would have been planted on their asses and some KO's sleeping. some of these fans have no idea where are and where are not the placed you do not wanna get hit. and that is a area NO one wants to get hit.

the fact it was ssm harded shot, where it landed and the fact floyd didnt know anything was coming, that is the best punch i have seen anyone take and not at least hit the canvas.

Exactly , when is Shane ever seconds away from ending a fight after only touching his opponent ONCE ?

It was not a shot that would koed anyone .

It has more so to do with how vulnerable Floyd's chin is .

Exactly. This is the biggest myth in boxing - one that is used to minimize the CENTRAL importance of good punch resistance in this sport.

First of all, a punch actually has to KO someone before it can be considered a punch that would have KO'd anyone. I would have thought that this was a given.

And secondly if you think that SMM punch against Mayweather was something special, try watching the Duran - Barkley fight. Barkley threw punches that should have KO'd Duran, multiple times, and in fact, the commentators were saying that these were the exact same shots that KO'd Hearns and Olajide. One punch was so hard that it literally spun Duran around. But the fact Duran didn't go down, means that it wasn't a punch that would have KO'd anyone. Same thing applies to Mayweather. And the punches absorbed by Tyson against Lewis were absolutely brutal.

Anyway, speaking of brutal I'm going to add the punch that Lewis landed on the Rahman in the rematch as a punch that would have KO'd anyone.
