McCraken had no answer to Usyk slipping AJ`s jab and his active guard, it was the same in the first Ruiz fight, he couldn`t help AJ while he was struggling, should AJ fire McCracken? 3:28 AJ`s team are useless, 3:39 looks like Rocky hitting the pads.
Yes, should have switched things up after Ruiz. I wish Manny Steward was alove to see how he would have helped AJ.
No, trainer is not the problem. His chin and his stamina are. + AJ maxusive head. No trainer is fixing that.
His stamina was proven in this fight, loads of punches and he was still punching at the end stamina didn`t make him lose boxing ability did, no way could Frank Bruno have gone 12 fighting at that pace.
Joshua needs to back to his old trainer Ronnie Coleman. And start pumping the weights again. Lol seriously though, there was nothing wrong with the heavy version of Joshua. He just got caught against Ruiz the first time, and didn't recover. I think there's some serious limitations with this new lean version. Needs bulking back to 250, and being a bit more cautious early rounds. Usyk is still there for the taking, if he can get past his mental issues.
I think he's learned as much as he can from McCracken, what he needs to do to beat Usyk, I don't believe McCracken has in his repertoire as a trainer. If he doesn't get rid of McCracken he at least needs to bring in someone else to teach him to manhandle Usyk, post with the left hand, use his lead hand to control Usyk's head position, this is what Fury did vs Wilder, what Wlad did before him to beat Povetkin, what Lewis did to beat Tyson, Holyfield and many others. Joshua needs to learn to use his size and strength not just his height and reach.
Wasn't convinced that McCracken shouldve been fired after the Ruiz loss (and I still don't think firing him after Ruiz would've made much sense) But now I would probably say that yeah, AJ needs a new trainer
people dont wanna see Aj for what he is a pumped up weight lifter. His cardio is ****, his stiff as **** but hey change trainers why not...at this point it can't hurt him. And then just like wilder everyone can get excited about the "new and improved " AJ And knowing what we know now it should actually be Aj vs Wilder not fury vs wilder for the hundredth time.
He was punching. But, there was no zip to the punches. No sting. No pivot force to it. LoL. So stamina was again the problem.
it was always the problem that's one of the first major flaws i noticed about AJ, maybe it's because im also an mma fan and see the importance but a fighter with a **** cardio is a loss waiting to happen and there is no way around it. All that fighter has to do is run into a guy who makes him work and doesnt get koed and it's down hill.
AJ currently have like 3 trainers.... I was behind Rob 100% after Ruiz, but right now Joshua definitely need a new strong coach.
