I think you're spot on again Mr S.

Looking back now it was a huge mistake, Usyk is/was no joke, even a morons like me knew it was a really tough fight and picked Usyk so I have no idea what Hearn, AJ and McCracken thought or even saw.

Training to beat Fat Andy didn't require an awful lot of insight or nuance. It was just a case of keeping it at long range and not taking too many risks. Anyone could see that. And was ultimately assisted by Fat Andy's own lack of preparation.
The idea of intelligently 'bullying Usyk' or 'bulldozing Usyk' without leaving yourself too exposed and vulnerable requires a great deal of professional insight and practice. I would say.
Personally I suspect it is beyond AJ no matter what, but I think to have his best chance, a change of trainer/corner is required.
They might both prove me wrong, of course. But that's my current thinking.

They started getting nervous and questioning their decision the week of the fight when Usyk moseyed into town like a prime Clint circa 64-66 exuding the confidence and calmness of someone who was utterly convinced he was going to win and was not going to be denied. Lots of people picked up on that including them and Usyk's confidence was unnerving.

    Absolutely

I keep hearing the rematch may be in Ukraine, I have a feeling because Usyk was mandatory his team had some sway in negotiations and it might be in the contract that they have an option to choose the location because Hearn hasn't been like he was after Ruiz.. after Ruiz he said "they will fight wherever we decide"

This time Hearn is mentioning money and "hopefully U.K."

I'd love to see Hearn and AJ try and large it in Ukraine against a national hero

McCracken is a dreadful trainer, If he had been in Wilder's corner he would have been shouting "Brilliant Deontay" as he lay asleep in the 11th round.

Champions don’t drop belts to avoid fighters, that is the biggest blemish on Bowes legacy period. I’m not a Joshua fan but he is good for Heavyweight boxing, sells out stadiums and has us on here arguing like kids over different things posted about him. But in all reality Joshua should have changed trainers a while back and if he truly wants to compete with the Fury’s and Usyks of the division then he clearly needs to. If Joshua does not change trainers then he is only interested in the money that his popularity brings him .
