Should all refs be doctors?

I also remember back in the day refs didn't really stop the fight cause they didn't have a medical staff to consult them and fights went to 15 rounds. Lots of deaths back then but the system has improved a bit. I remember Boom Boom Mancino killed a Korean dude after going the distance with lots of head shots. The Korean died at the hospital and the mother and ref ended up committing suicide out of grief..
