I've been thinking what if American fighters who do not seem to get love in America outside they cities/homebases such as Ward, Trout, Bradley, Dawson, Dirrell, or even Guerrero adopted another county or even a state with a bigger potential fanbase? I'm afraid upcoming talented fighters such as Russell Jr. and Andrande could potentially fall in the same category due to lack of personality and/or boxing state. This could effect they respect they deserve and financially. All fighters at some point in they career want big paydays even though we as fans just want to see great fights. Guys like Broner with his personality seem to be a PPV attraction waiting to happen so they he does not fall under this category but what about the good guys who do not?

What if Ward adopted Canada for his fights who in the past have shown love from fighters that were not born there (Bute, Lewis, Pascal) they have huge stadiums and a population that could give Ward the paydays respect, and love (outside Oakland) I feel he deserves.

What if Russell Jr. based all his big fights in Brooklyn which is a much bigger market than DC when it comes to boxing and sports in general especially fighting in that new Barclay center. He can make a name for himself easily since its new to boxing. With that insane handspeed and style Russell Jr can become real popular here in NY and it is not far away from his home at all.

Lets assume those fighers would be willing to take this risk thoughts?
