Amir Khan is still looking to beat prince naseem's age record for a world title belt.

I just heard Frank Warren on talk sport stating Amir should go another way and basically pick his time better for getting a belt(more experience/warren milking the cash cow) and reign for a long time this will cement his legacy in boxing.

Warren stated he managed prince naseem's career and towards the end and he did not cement his legacy in boxing.

For the purpose of the vote Khan has to beat a worthwile champ to get a belt.

Do you think that Amir Khan should go and try to beat Naseem's record

    or

Do you think Amir needs to listen to Warren and get more experience before going after a belt

If he tries to beat Naz's record he'll have to try to beat the count as well. He's visiting the canvas again the next time he takes a powerful shot.

Spot on. He's backed himself into a corner mouthing off, Warren should rein him in and let him get more experience first.

Khan is the greatest and best fighter to ever come out of Britain. You guys should leave him alone. The belt holders are old and not great and the other guys at the top of the division are no way near Amir's class.

Khan could KO the lot of them just like he did Kristjansen. The only thing holding him back is the champs are avoiding him, watch them get other fights instead of stepping up to face Khan.

Think Khan would need to win a World Title before end of June to beat Naz' record.

I suppose there is always the possibility of Lee McAllister for the WBU Title....

Khan needs to face facts. His chance to become Britains youngest world champ have become more and more remote as time has gone on.

He should just start taking on the best challenges out there and quit the continuous talk of breaking records.

I would **** myself if he went for the WBU belt.

The big problem is that most Khan fans and ITV viewers would think it was legit and hail him as the new messiah.

How do you mean best challenges out there?
He is trying to get a belt before June is this too unrealistic? (Against campbell or casamayor) If not thats a big challenge for him.

I think there is a big problem in the Warren camp, Amir wants to go for the record, I feel Warren and Khans father want more experience and are thinking more with their financial heads than Amir who thinks he can beat everyone.(rightly or wrongly)

Everyone is so against fighters taking easy matches (Which Khan has been critised for so far, only 21 remember not a 26 and a 400 fight vet like gamboa)
He is now looking for a big step up yet people still are against him for looking for it?

Take Khan's last opponent - he was hardly the best challenge out there when he could have fought Romanov instead.

Kristjansen is not ideal preparation for experienced operators like Campbell or Casamayor so yes Khan winning a World Title against them before end of June is unrealistic.

I do not mind him wanting to fight for the world title and fight Nate or Casa. Whether he could be them both is a completely different matter.

The one problem with Khan trying for the title in June is that his level of competition hardly warrents a Euro shot. He has not faced the level of fighters needed for him to be able to mix it with the top guys. If Khan had faced a variety of opponents and then found himself in this postion then a title shot would be a good option for him. Khan really needs to start moving up in level of oppoent before facing the tougher guys.

I think Khan and the WBU belt are the most sound title fight he could get for June.

That wouldn't be a sound decision though.

I can just imagine the ITV commentary for that one....

Yes Kristjansen is not on the same level as Campbell or Casamayor, but he was not on the same level as Khan either.

I am not saying Khan would beat either of the above but I would like to see him tested against them. If he loses I am sure he can come back because he is young enough, if he wins then its a tremendous acheivement.

For the record I dont think FW will pitch him in against either of the above.
Khan will probably have to leave FW if he really believes he is as good as he thinks.

If he does try, he will lose.
