His fights alone must have shaven a few fight years of his career..He really needs to settle down and adapt to one serious coach with a plan. I fail to see him doing anything major under his current situation.

I also feel his social/family life has some affect to his training and focus.

I just feel he's been fast tracked his whole career since he was 18. He's never really developed his fundamentals. They should be in place before you challenge for titles, coz after that your preparing for your opponent as opposed to learning the trade. He needs some time out, get re-motivated and spend a few months learning the game again.

great thread... i think he needs to step out the gym for 6 months.. take 2 decent fights in england.. and then try to come back and get garcia.. if he wins, he'd have his superfight and he'd be ready.

as a big khan fan, i couldn't even look at these boards until now.. i knew the backlash would be too much to read... i hope my dude makes a comeback.

Exactly. Frank waz wanted to hold him back but amir was having none of it and it was obvious to me he wasn't ready to be fast tracked. the rest is history.

Folk keep using the judah fight as an example on how khan boxed and should box but in reality judah was and is shot to pieces and provided little in the way of a threat that night.

But Judahs next performance was impressive..

I think khan should take 2 months off seeing as it is Ramadan this month anywho, get a new trainer, go back to Ariza and go back to the UK to fight 2-3 solid domestic or European level opponents every 3 months as he used to 4 years ago building up and getting more comfortable with his new style. Then
sometime late summer next year fight again at world level.

He can forget about the likes of mayweather and the superfights. That plan went tits up and will never fall through now and even if it does he will get brutally beaten and forced into retirement. To prolong his career his highest aims should be the likes of Bradley etc
