Let me rephrase.... because Allan Green has a fight against Glen Johnson potentially, in a Super Six tourney that seems to be heading south in these recent monthly developments, should the winner of Ward- Dirrel and Abraham- Froch drop out of the tounrey and simply fight each other on their own agreements... I simply said Ward because he is leader of the tourney and if he beats Dirrel would still be tourney favorite.... If I were Ward and I beat Dirrel I would drop out immediately and try to face either Lucian Bute or the winner of Abrahm-Froch (preferably the latter first to truly prove you are the best but then again, this is boxing.. n you know how that goes)

    So what do you think?

    Bute won't go near Ward.

    no. Fight the fights.

We are always complaining about fighters being able to pick and choose their opponents. Finally there is a format where the fighters fight their opponents on merit. It's not perfect but its a step in the right direction.

    Let's say
    - Green knocks out Glen Johnson
    - Ward beats Dirrell
    - Froch beats Abraham

final 4 will be Ward, Froch, Green, Abraham.

Let's say Ward beats Abraham and Green beats Froch

    Final is Ward vs Green.

I'm all for it even if Ward dominated the first fight.

The only thing bothering me is how the **** is Johnson gonna make 168?

Ward is young and had been afforded the opportunity to do something truly special.
It would be a shame for politics and greed to ruin this tournament.

He can't just up and leave the tournament. That'll be an ass-hole thing to do. Ward's not an ass-hole. He'll whoop Dirrell, and then deal with Froch/Abraham, before ending the hype that is Bute.

Well if Green is in the tourney and this is just stage three.. he might not necessarily face the winner of Froch vs Abraham

I think so, but frankly, when you have ESB forumite vision (ESBFV), it's never a certainty, even when you thought you were.

I agree, no one should avoid fights and duck.. they should fight out tourneys and mandatories... I'm just saying.. if the winner of Froch- Abraham faces the winner of Dirrel- Ward.. its the same thing....

DO you really think Glen Johnson should be in this tournament... they should just have Johnson and Green fight for an eliminator for Bute's belt or something.. ro even Steiglitz belt.. they should not be in this tournament.. especially when it's suppose to prove who is the best 168 fighter... since when was Johnson a 168 fighter?.. like ten years ago!?

He can't drop out he's locked in by contract. But even if this tournament did suddenly cancel, we'd never see some of these guys fight one another ever again. There's already so much trouble getting anybody to fight outside of their home country, every one of them has become paranoid since all the home town fighters win. Abraham-Froch was supposed to be set in England, not now. Ward-Dirrell was supposed to be in Oakland, not now. After this tourney, I highly doubt Abraham, Froch, or Kessler would be willing to fight in the US or Ward, Dirrell would be willing to fight in Germany or UK.

No, because if the winner of the Green/Johnson fight advances and Ward wins, he would be matched against them (he's the 1 seed they're the 4), and either of those are an easy win for him not only because he's much better than either of them but also because both of them are weak and drained at 168. I still really don't believe that Glen Johnson can make 168. But I could be wrong with who would be the 4 seed, if the winner of Green/Johnson wins by KO than they would be the 3 seed and Froch will be the 4 seed (because he's definitely getting KO'd by AA). That would result in Ward facing Froch, and that's an easy win for him also. Anyways, it really wouldn't make sense for him to drop out. Doesn't the winner get a large sum of money?
