For Chad I would say stay at 175, last night you just volunteered to drain yourself and make it official. S.O.G. would school you at 168 because you haven't fought at that weight in a while. For Andre, I would say stay at 168 for now. Chad might win if you moved up to quickly. Now the question, who agrees with me?
If I were Chad i wouldnt budge id stay at 175 If I were Ward id either move up or fight Bute but in all seriousness Ward is becoming irrelevant, he won the big tourney and now is surrendering a belt and not talking fights or calling guys out or answering challenges hes is like a missing person right now
Big fans of both, but Ward beats him at any weight. Ward too smart, strong and slick. He's like Bhop, but with the quickness and athleticism to do what he needs to do. My guess is that after having time to think about it, Chad will not be calling out Ward. The timing is not right anyway. Chad has unfinished business with Pascal, but unfortunately, will have to go back to Canada to get paid. If he wanted to fight a smw, he should call out Bute, if Bute beats Froch.
Ward should move up after a couple more fights at 168. Maybe Bute and Dirrell. Dawson should stay put. I'd like to see him fight Campillo. That's the best fight in the division imo.
Chad should move down if we want the best match between them (it won't be pretty no matter what). From business perspective, 170-172 makes sense, but I ****ing hate catchweights.
it would be so foolish for ward to move up. the smw division is one of the best in boxing and chad is campaigning in a relative wasteland. Chad's calling ward out, not the other way around, plus he made it clear that he would be willing to go to 168.
When you drain yourself for a legit fight meaning someone higher weight class calling out someone from a lower never made much sense to me. I mean you put yourself in their neighborhood and drained yourself. I know Chad said he could make 168. But fight Andre? I seriously doubt it. Then both are losers. Chad weight drained and unable to fight at his best. Andre then being told constantly by haters that he was the one who drained him. Two way street.
