I remember that about him forced to wait for some reason & he cool down & then really got iced! It was always something with Golota. Even a minor distraction could throw him for a loop! :!:
I wouldn't like to watch it, personally. Maybe good marketing move, but in sports view it's not a good idea.
Golota dispite these embarrasing loses still has a lot of fans in Poland. I dont think he expeted this but when he was leaving the arena there was a massive crowd waiting for him chanting "Andrzej, Andrzej. Andrzej"
This is not a sum he'd be interested in, unlike most fighters he invested his money and is rich. During his previous comeback he fought Byrd and Ruiz for less just to get the title shots. He cared only about the money earlier in his career. When he started caring about boxing and winning a belt he was already old and washed up.
First of all, hats off to Adamek. He's brilliant and even better than I thought. Second, why did Andrew come into this fight at 256??? Third, I thought the stoppage was a little premature. Should Golota retire? That depends if he and/or his body can handle the training it takes to lose 20 pounds. Is he hungry enough?
Think about the fighter...NOT the fans.... he has slowed, he is NOT in shape...he is setting himself up to really be hurt. Its not worth it IMO
He should have retired after he Mollo fight, it was the perfect moment, a win despite the terrible eye injury in a fight in which he was the underdog. I knew it, most fans knew it, his wife knew it. Even Golota probably now knows it.
