If he beats Wilder/Povetkin I would say he could be in the top 10.

If he did what he did but was only 6'2" 215 then I'd say yes. But he's 6'6" and 245. He's basically doing what a guy that size should be doing. Honestly, I wouldn't put Rungvisai or Santa Cruz in the top 10 either with the likes of Kovalev, Lara, and Estrada out there. Maybe, Nietes, Spence, Gvozdyk, Beterbiev, and Bivol should be in there ahead of them too. Just a thought. I mean Thurman is better pound for pound. If Thurman were AJ's size he'd clean his clock.

He could well be included there.

If he beats Wilder and Pov, then top 5.

p4p are just fun things for the sport
they should not be taken seriously

heavies not being in p4p lists because analysts judge them against the speed and skill of welters /middles

yet the same does not apply to flyweights and say minumumweight fighters who throw 120 punches a round for 12 rounds at speed

if they were middles they would be impossible to deal with unless you ktfo them as there workrate is insane compared to higher weights

the trade off is lack of power that bigger weights have

but then put 100 lb on any 147 welterweight and send them up to fight wilder or joshua and the p4p fighters that they are would mean absolutley **** all when they are to short to hit anything above the chest.

    NO.

Top 15 but certainly not 10.

Somewhere in the top 15-20 I'd imagine, but I'm hardly keeping such lists because I find P4P lists to be asinine and overly trendy. Just a buzzword for casuals. It was old back in the 90's...

Yes I think Joshua could arguably be in the P4P top 10.
I would ask though. P4P with who? Whos P4P is more valuable than anyone elses?

I remember being shocked a few years ago when D Haye had won WBC WBA WBO Ring CW titles and the WBA HW title all in something like 24 fights and often as the away fighter was not in some of the top 10s and there were fighters who I felt he had a far greater resume and accomplishments than, who were rated in the them.

I think P4P can often be based with the demographic of where the fighter is based or the hype that is received.

No but, he is much better technically than given credit and wouldn’t be too far of a stretch to put him there…p4p is tough to rate, very difficult, if even possible, to translate speed, power, chin from fly weight to super heavy with any accuracy…
