should B-Hop offer to be Pavlik's new trainer

honestly i thought of this as soon as the fight was over
and i dont see Lowe going anywhere but bring in BHop and let him help
i dont see how he could hurt Kelly any show him how to box a little better
and show him some of those slick moves

 

Great fighters don't always make great trainers. Hopkins certainly know a lot about boxing but if he became a trainer he'd train fighters who aren't as skilled as he was. Therefore they wouldn't be always able to implement what Hopkins tells them in the gym and that would get Bernard pissed off as boxing comes easily to him and he wouldn't be able to understand how his charge can't do what he tell him.

 

why would he do this??! he's probably still got 5 odd fight left in him the kind of condition this blokes in is one of a kind.

 

Well, we have no idea how Hopkins would be as a trainer, but at least one thing we do know is that Hopkins understands how Pavlik fights down to the letter. Hopkins dismantled Pavlik by recognizing Pavlik's weaknesses and knowing how to exploit them. Surely Bernard could then turn around and teach Pavlik to fix these holes in his game.
