Even when Barry was in K-1, he was never an elite fighter. So, I don't know how much money he made being a mid-level/regional type fighter. Like someone said, not more than he makes in the UFC. That said, I'd hope Barry could improve his kickboxing enough to compete on a world level this time around.
Don't know much about this guy, but just watched a few cliips and the suggestion he moves back to kickboxing seems like a bad move to me. He doesn't seem to have anything that'll propell him to a high level. The gulf between mediocre/crap and quality in the HW division is huge unlike the lower weight divisions, where there is more of a competative feild of fighters. This guy is medicore at best and doesn't have the skills to off set his size disadvatages. A guy like Badr Hari tears him apart inside a round with vicious kicks and in particular knees! He's tailor made for a quality tall HW to rip to shreds with knees.:yep Doesn't seem like it's worth the move finacially as he'd never get anywhere of any importance.
He's been at it for four years fella, one year off training isnt gonna help is it. He's going to get kodded again because he's an idiot, simple as that I like Pat, but the HW division in MMA isnt the best place to go out and have some fun
Time for Pat to go fight Todd Duffee in SUper Fight League. Barry has all the skills to be the next Crocop and KO heavyweights left and right - but he paces himself too much and holds back. Anyone that isn't afraid to punch him and hits hard enough to hurt him will beat him every time. Lavar Johnson is the type of fighter he should have schooled but he let himself get stopped. Of course I saw it coming which is why I picked Johnson in the prediction league.
Taking time off will not improve his skills or chin. He is what he is, might as well just carry on and try and win some bonuses
