I voted yes, but I have a question and a comment.

First the comment. The list of names in the original post included people who have been "suspected" of using PEDs. I don't think you should be kept out of the HOF unless it's been proven. If you've got a positive test, then yes. But you shouldn't be banned for suspicion.

Now the question. Is Holyfield one of those suspected, or did he have a positive test that I never knew about?

When I mentioned those guys I didnt mean they'd all been proven, I meant if it was proven would you rather they werent inducted?

As far as I know, Holyfield was suspected of using HGH.

what about cheating of other types though? how do people feel about that? i biased because i'm a huge jones nuthugger, so this is a tough question for me to honestly answer. I don't think one instance erases an entire career. but what about other types of illegal tactics?

Margarito could beat Pacquiao and then beat either Klitschko without cheating and i'd still be against him being in the HOF. Though I find it hard to imagine Jones not in the HOF, it would reek of double standards by me if I said he should but someone who did something like Cheato shouldnt.

PED is too generic of a term.

that's where i'm struggling to. but at the same time we'd need to take out guys like sonny liston (who cheated in his wins of machen and williams), fritzie zivic, roberto duran, possibly even jack dempsey. if ANY cheating discounts a career than many great of the past are out

great to see an honest response on here, when 99% refuse to discuss the topic :clap::clap::clap::clap:

what other types of illegal tactics do you mean? got to admit that i fully agree with what the poster said about margarito, theres is no excusin what that ****er did, its sickenning. i'm a firm believer that cheats are very rarely caught the only time they cheat. someone who cheats once is very likely to have cheated many times imo.

Fair point, but you can argue guys like Zivic, Duran etc were allowed to cheat by incompetence of referees, whereas with guys that used PED's there isnt anyone to stop them.

What do you think about guys who used illegal tactics in the ring, like jorodz said? Duran, Zivic, even Ward if he gets a HOF worthy career(I know you dont like Ward so dont read too much into that, just an example) have used tactics illegal in the ring.

in terms of illegal tactics in the ring, i don't condone it but i wouldn't try and stop someone bein inducted into the hall of fame through it. its the referee's job to cut that **** out and its not a hidden form of cheating, it is there for everyone to see, rather than peds or loaded gloves which are deliberatly hidden forms of cheating.
