I dont understand how that could be shocking. Marquez had a strenght coach, an educated one, one with credentials, and that's what happens when you follow your guy's program. We didn't do any of that. We quit. It's not shocking to me. That's what happens for three months when you get up at 4:30 in the morning, you do your strenght and conditioning, you eat right, you train right, you focus on that, and that's what he did. Look at the way Marquez was lifting, the way he was training. You know, short explosive burts. Three, four, five repetitions. And it's like I said, he's training to throw four, five - three, four, five hard shots, and then out, and then rest. His power punches matched Manny's power punches. He had more power punches than Manny. "Alex Ariza on Marquez"

Either guy. Marquez because he dropped Pac like a sack of potatoes. Donaire because he dropped pretty much everyone else like a sack of potatoes and makes warriors terrified of him in the ring. If you could caption Arce's facial expression after the first power punch Donaire MISSED.. lol it would be "Damn you strong" or "Oh ****".

Alex Ariza is a whiny ***** and a detriment to the team. He is crying because no one wanted to work with his ***** ass.

He was secretly praying that Pac get knocked out, so he could say, "see, Pac didn't have strenght and conditioning."

Lets not forget Ariza is pretty much Herdia's student.

Pacturds really do love ignoring that.

Give it a rest already, PED's, don't give you abilities far beyond your capabilities gained from training hard and training smart. JMM was always Manny's match, and put full leverage into a shot he didn't see coming.

You can blame thse butthurt Pacturds, man...They're still so bitter about their hero getting KTFO.

As for your thread question, JMM deserves it more IMO.

Donaire was expected to win all of his fights and in dominating fashion too, and didn't look quite that great in a couple of them (Vazquez Mathebula), while Marquez not only was he the underdog but he did something most thought he would never do: savagely KTFO an atg like Pacquiao.

Here's another example of the power of PEDs (1:10+ for the good stuff)

Marquez:lol:...Marquez ain't going to get it because he was ready to get his ass handed to him until that punch:lol:. Donaire or Garcia are the top candidates to receive it.

I'd give it to Marquez. I love that Donaire has been so active, but the quality of his opposition hasn't been amazing. He struggled with Vazquez Jr and Mathebula. Nishioka was a fight I was very excited about and a terrific performance by Donaire, but Nish looked a looked a long way past his best in there. The Arce fight was a mismatch. I'm not trying to take away anything from Donaire, but I think Marquez's big win over Pacquiao puts him above Nonito for 2012. In fact I'd give Marquez:

    Fighter of the year
    Fight of the year
    KO of the year

    Donaire.

As impressive as the Pac performance was, the fact remains is that Manny was coming off a sub-par performance where he faded late, and lost the official decision as a result. In truth, he was coming into this fight off of three consecutive performances that didn't impress. That's JMM's best win, with the other coming against a solid but hardly spectacular 140lb contender in Fedchenko in order to be gifted with a title at that weight.

In contrast, Donaire defeated a highly regarded Nishioka, making him awfully gun-shy in the process, scored clear decisions over two 122lb titleholders, and stopped another former 122lb titleholder in a manner that no one else has ever done. Nonito established himself as the division's champion, and the man to beat at the weight. No one had a better year, and he deserves credit for it.

Dude you're so funny , you think that I cared that Pac got his ass knock out cold :patsch. That's part of boxing and I don't even cared, I'm just replying to your ******ed post. Working with a know peds expert and winning only after you almost got your ass handed to you is not going to win you fighter of the year. If he met the criteria then you wouldn't even have this ******ed thread , he would have been fighter of the year already.
