Should both Donaire and Marquez win Ring's fighter of the year?

donaire should get it...had a much busier year and fought real good competition and winning pretty easily at that. marquez wasnt as much busy this year, only had he had pac schooled prior to the ko would i have agreed that jmm should win it.

I don't even rate it as that good a win, just a run of the mill win for Donaire.

 

I think a shared award is completely justified.

Donaire has lit up the division with an incredible 4 fight streak.

JMM has one of the greatest victories in history.

Marquez, trained his ass off, got into the best shape of his life. Was losing on the scorecard and produced what he was training for. Marquez is fighter of the year.

 

The 39 year old Marquez won in spectacular fashion eclipsing all of Donaire's victories this year. People are still in absolute disbelief.

I know many have their suspicions about JMM juicing. But until proven, that can not be brought into this conversation.

 

Berto was told not to take the item he took, by Conte. Berto took it anyway.

 

I think Donaire should win, he moved up a weight class and fought 4 top ten competition, while proactively accepting true OSD testing. He also called out his promoter on HBO to make the fights with Mares and Rigo.

He is good for boxing and understands the fundamental concept that promoters work for the fighters not the otherway around.
