Basically they've made allegations that have ruined a necessary fight of the decade, and have caused Pacquiao's career and reputation serious damage, without presenting a single piece of evidence. If this goes unpunished, any fighter who wants to duck a good challenge can simply make more and more ridiculous demands until his opponent gets sick of it and refuses to budge any further. It also seriously brings the name of boxing into disrepute.

Ruining the image of the sport is a serious problem. Ruining the reputation of a fighter, deliberately and out of malice, is also way out of line as well as being illegal.

For these reasons, I think that both Mayweathers and Oscar De La Hoya should have all their boxing achievements rescinded. Belts stripped, all won fights and draws removed from the record books, banned for life from fighting, promoting, or attending any boxing match, weigh-in, media event, or participating in the Hall of Fame. This would be just punishment for their cynical and evil actions, and would serve as a deterrent to future fighters, managers and promoters to do their fighting clean and in the ring, not dirty outside it.

    What do you think?

i agree with you regarding oscar and floyd's distasteful conduct. however, the punishment you enumerated are very harsh.
