Well at my job I am suppose to Follow the MO, and if someone tells me not to and do something else in top of what I am doing I can get in trouble. So basically follow the book or get in trouble. The MO is there for a reason, follow it don't make other rules or procedures that are not in the book.

If i wanted to do other things the people at my job would have to change the book (MO)

    cosign.

The funny thing is people are now saying boxers should fight by the rules these organisations give them. Lets wait for the next Champion who gets mandated to defend against a mediocre oppponent rather than a real challenger before that chorus sings a different tune.

Stick with the current rules in the book. The state boxing commission should have a say if changes should be made not other people.

There are 5 sanctioning bodies, a different commission in every state. All fights are neg. Glove size, ring size, weight, purse split etc. What is the book that the man refers to.:huh

Boxers should never ask for different size gloves than are what is specified by the state commision they are fighting in. Especially if smaller gloves would give them an advantage as a power puncher and a disadvantage to their opponent who is known for years to have hand problems. They should go strictly by the state rules for glove sizes.

Clearly anyone who wants to change state rules is a coward and trying to avoid the fight.

Boxers should follow the rules in the book and not people's rule except when the people's names are Mayweather, ODLH and Schaefer who are the gods of professional boxing and are much much bigger than boxin itself. F**k Pacman for refusing to comply with the whims of the gods!

I disagree. Floyd isn't a coward for imposing his own rule of random blood testing over the NSAC standard. Floyd is a god of boxing, Pac and NSAC has to comply with his whims!:good

It's a contract negotiation, stop being such ****ing babies. Two fighters negotiate a contract and they either reach an agreement or they don't. No one is setting the rules and many points a flexible, so long as the meet the basic requirements set down by the athletic commission for the state.

I swear, this board is 90% utter ****ing morons. That's like saying "when you take a job should you accept the rules of your state and only work for the guaranteed minimum wage, or should you force your employer to accept your own rules?" It's a ****ing point in a contract, not a rule, and any boxer is allowed to request anything in the world they want, just like their opponent is perfectly free to reject the offer.

Some of you people have a playground mentality that is utterly baffling.
