Here our the current East Side Boxing forum rankings at Light Welterweight.

Should the July 17th fight between Tim Bradley and Marcos Maidana be for the World title? or should it only be when Bradley fight Khan or Alexander.

No. Don't really understand Maidana being ranked above Kotelnik.

No for **** sake. Maidana is so overrated. God I can't wait till he get's exposed in this fight.
But Bradley should get the spot.

Of course, whoever wins should clearly be ranked #1.

well yeah seeing as bradley is already the number 1 light welter (alexander is a close second). and ergo if maidana beats him he would take that title.

clearly not imo. MM needs to win vs 1 more big name in the division i think before he can challenge for the title. If kahn beats the magic man, then him, bradley or alexander can fight for the title

to be honest, you can't really claim that khan is eligible for the title and not maidana. khan has fought and beat kotelnik and salita at lww, whereas maidana has fought kotelnik (i had him a close winner) and ortiz/cayo good prospects. both there levels of opposition at lww is pretty lacking. the only difference is that khan holds the 'actual' wba title.

  12. :patsch WBA title means absolutely **** all and you know it.

That being said, Maidana's ranking is too high IMHO, and 4th is not high enough to fight for the title. Bradley vs. Alexander would be the only fight I would consider right now as being a championship fight whether paper titles are on the line or not.
