Breland was a better combo puncher than Wilder, should he teach Wilder to throw combo`s how he himself did while he was champ, would it help him v Fury?

hw boxing is a different game. You just cant apply combos that are common in lower weight classes there.

To use a Blackadder quote teaching Wilder to throw combos would be "like teaching a dog the concept of Norway".

Honeyghan was finished after being out-classed by Starling, he never beat a top 10 contender ever again, he fought far better v the similarly tall Blocker a few years before, but again struggled with the reach, his corner were useless.

Wilder three a great three punch combo to drop Fury in the 12th round of their first bout.

The closest Wilder will ever get to a combo is when he's ordering in a fast food restaurant.

Breland is a product of the Kronk gym system and a highly experienced boxing man. He will have tried to teach Wilder everything he possibly could. The likely reason for Wilder's continuing lack of fundamentals is that he just can't learn.

The fact he says rubbish like:

That was a Windmill not a combo. 50% Fury was gassed and unfocused. Not chance that effort gets near a fully fit Fury.

Yep.Wilder is supposedly very difficult to work/deal with. Doesn't listen etc.

FFS. This dude is so full of himself. Fury shattered his illusionary fantasy world that he built up in his head. This guy believed all the BS he spewed only to have to thrown in his face. Exposures like that usually equate to a rapid decline in subsequent fights.

Breland himself was a ****ing useless bum. Hey, you found some footage of him throwing a few combos. I just remember him jabbing and praying he did not get hit with anything.

I watched unheralded Aaron David beat him on TV, but even before that, I will never forget how they brought up Pineda from super lightweight to fight him because they needed someone he could beat. Pineda took the early lead, visibly rocking Breland, then then inexplicably quit. The entire boxing world new it was a fraud, just like Wilder's fight against Scott.

Also Starling knocked him out and then they fought to a draw in the rematch.

Breland has been trying to teach Wilder things from the start. Wilder just sucks as a student of boxing. It's bad when your own trainer gets so frustrated with the lack of progress over years, that he decides to vent publically. Breland basically said Wilder is unteachable. That all he can do is show him the techniques. It's up to Wilder to practice them and try to incorporate them into his game.
