Should Buster Douglas have been counted out?

-Hits his glove on the canvas in anger at himself.
-Goes out the next round and beats up Tyson

 

He could've been, sure, but I don't think you can say he should've been.

 

its called a 10 count not a 10 second count
no he shouldnt have been counted out, he was watching the ref count taking his 8 count. wasnt hurt...

As a kid I was so bummed about it that I actually bought King's bull at first.
Later on I just realized everything went clearly according to the rules and Tyson was just properly beaten. No longcount for Douglas, no Phil Edwardscount for Tyson.

Meyran issued an identical count for Tyson when he hit the mat. Only difference was that Mike wasn't in condition to watch anything but the stars going around his head.

 

Buster wasnt that hurt.. he got up according to the Ref count. :?

 

The counts aren't exact seconds like Don King was trying to say.
The count was consistent for both fighters.
If the ref counted faster, Douglas would have risen faster, he was hurt but alright.

So...no.
