Surprised me the other day after seeing images of GGG and Canelo in the ring I couldn’t believe that Canelo looked bigger, sure Golovkin has a few inches height on him but Golovkin still looked lean at the weight whereas Canelo just looked bigger.

It’s a good job Canelo has gotten leaner as I reckon he’d struggle to make weight otherwise.
In answer to the question no he doesn’t get any credit as the guy fought at his own made up catchweight for God knows how long and nobody even knows his weight on fight night as he doesn’t want anyone to know his true size.

Canelo is low 180's fight night. Still good power but not like Jermall.

Lol Canelo is the only guy I’ve ever heard of past 25yrs of age who just keeps on growing lol.
Ok so the cruiser weight thing is an exaggeration but he his a Middleweight, that he fought at 164lbs straight after his last fight at 154lbs should tell us something.

Lol nobody can find a source as he has an aversion to stepping on those scales,I’ll have to check but I’m sure I remember the commentary for the Cotto fight saying he had as much as 20lbs on Cotto, let’s say Cotto was 160lbs on fight night and if Canelo was 15 to 20lbs heavier it’s not a stretch is it to suggest that?

Tells us that Oscar was spouting nonsense when Canelo was fighting Liam Smith and his diatribe that Canelos no Middleweight.
Yes I know technically he was right but 164lbs is bigger than Middleweight,Oscar comes out with such crap........better to just say if he can make the weight at 154 then what’s the problem instead of all that talk about him still growing lol.

It’s only recently Isal that we now know what he meant by him still growing.

Everybody is talking about the Cruiserweight WBSS and how great it is. Just unfortunate that Canelo is such a glaring omission from the tourney.

Last I heard he’s skipping the cruiser weight thing and going straight up to Heavyweight, his fight night weights are between 180 and 250lbs so it’s not a stretch lol

That makes sense. Why drain himself to make 200? Just fight guys his own size, maybe a Luis Ortiz or Whyte.

Pretty much,it’s no big deal and Box Nation dint mean it in a derogatory fashion, they just pointed out the difference in weight and how Cottos punches didn’t have the same weight of shot behind em.
I’m not sure why you get all funny about this?Canelo has always been the ultimate pro at making weight,it wasn’t illegal but please let’s not pretend him and Cotto were the same size as you can use your eyes to determine that you know.

What did your eyes tell you about the size comparison between Canelo and Golovkin?

I'm not Canelo fanboying it. He's obviously a MW, and has been since facing Mayweather at the end of '13 with the Smith fight the one exception. But the claims against Canelo are outrageous. Shows how disconnected many of you folks are with reality.
