How do you know it's not true? The man don't have a reason to lie. Canelo's camp haven't called him a lie, so why are you? Sr, don't call no shots so why you quoting him. You must believe him, you quoted him. You believe what you wanna and I will do the same. Like I said, It don't matter cause skill will prevail.

It won't matter he'll lose anyways, power don;t mean nothing when you can't land it. He never fought slick guys like lara at 154 and there is a reason, HE'D LOSE, He just wants the big payout

I am pretty sure the 152lb catch weight is simply for added pressure. If he kills himself trying to make it, great. If he just ignores it and pays the fee, I'm sure Floyd is fine with that. The catch weight was a power play. It's simply Floyd trying to have some influence at the negotiation table and to give the Alvarez team something to work on other than strat.

Honestly, I hope Canelo comes in at 154, then, I want him to blow up over night to 172 or whatever nonsense number he likes to pretend is fair. I hope he comes in healthy, strong, and feeling great, then I want to see Floyd beat this kid senseless.

floyd done it to marquez, canelo should do it to floyd, if needed. The guy is already a big name at 23, sacrifice the penalty, have a better shot at beating p4p no1, he will have many chances to earn it back.

What is the difference? The fight goes on no matter how much he weighs. If he comes in at 154,does it not help Floyd? He can then beat Alvarez at his weight and get more money. its a win/win.

If he comes in at 154, you better believe there will be quite the penalty and then a possible re-hydration clause for the next morning.

Canelito wil not have many chances at 154 or 160...

5'7 and mediocre across the board does not give him many chances to earn it back.

if the penalty would be 100.000 $ per pound then YES but since the penalty is 1 mil $ + per pound then NO.

Canelo will be fine @ 152.

He should come in at the agreed weight or call off the fight...that's the weight he agreed to. nobody forced him to sign the contract. If not, he might as well say that following the rules in the ring are also optional. Besides, we all know he's gonna hydrate up to 175 on fight night and come in 30 lbs heavier than mayweather.

Perhaps you should try explaining that to all the ******* garbage on this board, and other boards then.

Because they are quite happy to say that Cotto's performance wasn't hindered by him having to come in at 2 pounds below 147, but if Canelo loses it WILL be because of having to do the same.

Over at the scene Canelo is saying that he'll have absolutely no trouble making the weight and that it won't hinder his performance at all. He even goes as far as to say that it will help him because he'll be "a lot faster" without those two extra pounds.
