Should Casamayor be considered a great fighter???

    In my opinion he is a great fighter and had the distinction of being the champion at junior-lightweight and lightweight with some of the stiffest competition in history. He went 2-1 against Corrales, lost a contoversial descision to Freitas, and another close one to Castillo for the lightweight title. He also defeated current alphabet titlst and number one contender nate Campbell, and former champs Roberto Garcia and JONGKWON bAEK. He has never been knocked out and I havent really seen him seriously hurt. He really turned back the clock and did something great fighters do....beat young upstarts he should lose to. hE HAS BEEN FADING FOR YEARS NOW BUT HE IS SO TOUGH AND GRIZZLED, He is like a little southpaw hopkins.

    Good but not great. He has mostly made a career out of crying about decisions that don't go his way.

    Great fighter and HOFer.
    Robbed against Corrales-2. The fight wasn't even close.
    Lost controversial decisions against Freitas and Castillo.
    If he had gotten those decisions, he would be an ATG.

    he is a hall of famer just for his story alone...fo fame and interesting people he gets it...the 3 time 2 wieght world champion bit comes after.

    he was hard to beat impossible to look good against.
    and fought who ever raised there hand.


    shafted by the WBC and shafted by the cuban system...this is movie type stuff we are talking about here.

    I think Casamayor is a border line ATG.

    He is a great fighter, maybe not not ATG.
