Should Chad Dawson be voted into the Hall of Fame?

Tszyu is certainly an ATG fighter at 140, both he and Castillo will be in the IBHOF, Kostya already is. You Yanks love Gatti but have no answer to why he's in or the others i named. If they're in than why not Dawson or Hatton?

I do think Jermaine is HoF, yes, being the man who stopped a potential ATGs unbroken (if you understand Allen obviously wasn't a loss) record defence string. That is something that makes you famous. Its a permanent mark in history, a major change in the direction of boxing at MW, not merely an also ran or a resume entry.

whereas chad and calzaghe beat a proven beatable Hopkins. although dawsons win was much better than joes life and death last gasp struggle due to dawsons higher skill level than calzaghe.


by contrast, for me, ATGs is about being of very best,
thats just the way I translate it - fame means being world famous for something and that means something that carries, something unique in its own way. by contrast ATG means amongst greatest of all time.

No he was always underachieving throughout his career, now he's no longer achieving anything.

He was a good boxer and good enough to win a belt, but not good enough to be a HOF fighter.

 

Dawson, to his credit beat some solid fighters and was the linear champ at LHW for 6- 7 years. Yes, thats better than some fighters who are already in there.

What a crock of ****. Lazslo Papp wasn't American, was undeserving and he got in. Barry McGuigan was a fun tv fighter, but not really deserving...he got in. Stop trying to make it nationalistic because its not. And dont worry, i have no doubt Hamed will be in in the next few years.

 

Than explain McGuigan, Papp, Galindez and Buchanan. All good fighters, but none twice as good as the era around them. This seems to be a real double standard with you.
