    once again dumb ****...shut up

instead of talking about what cheez belt is on the line, point to the opponent so we know it means something. because winning the

WBC Continental Americas heavyweight title in his last fight was nice but coming again a 46 year old inactive bert cooper with 23 losses kinda puts things in perspective

Sounds like Chauncy's and Mitchell's managements are pushing for the fight and both want it, but not it comes down to if they can find a sponsor to make the fight worth their time. No buy= no fight. This is still a business when you come down to it in the end. I hope the fight come out. I think Chauncy has the perfect style to beat Mitchell ( high output, ring smarts, good cardio, and iron chin).

Dan Rafael pretty much Shattered your dreams on his chat today he said HBO is not and would not ever approve Welliver as an opponent for Mitchell. Has ZERO to do with an offer or anything like that. He is not ever going to be on HBO.

They should push for showtime instead. Course this fight isn't the header is it? They are probably stuck with HBO because whoever is the header has a deal with HBO already and the other fights are just to fill out the show.

Why not enter The Biggest Loser? Seriously. He has good speed for a fatty, but needs to build muscle if not going to lose weight. At least Andy Ruiz and Arreola those guys have power. If by a miracle Chauncy was outboxing a big name most likely won't get a decision anyway. Take it up a notch or go home.

so that should tell them the following of HBO thought process

we see your last fight you handed 46 year old cooper is 23rd loss

before that a 21-8 boxer- for 4 titles on the line and he was rates #225 in the world

his last 4 fights , the highest rated guy was #196, the others #200 - #300

chauncy may be a worthy opponent...but its got to be proved by guys with a pulse the way HBO runs their business

Couldn't agree more. The guy has 0 wins over Boxrec Top 100 opponents. He shouldn't get rewarded with an HBO date for that.

so all the great heavyweight fighters are in Macau?

    (what is Macau ? )

maybe i am old fashioned, but if i am going to fight and beat up a guy ranked 387, i am gonna do it much closer to home and avoid 12 hour plane rides

Probably too big of a step up at this stage for Chuancy. Perhaps in another 3 years time he will be ready for Prizefighter.

Chancy has 63 fights on his record and only once he fought against top 50 guy Solis. Rest of his opponents are either complete bums, journeymen or solid but limited. Put him at least against guys like Sosnowski, Grant, Walker, Dimitrenko and let see how he can deal with them. But hey what am I asking for. He already fought 63 times and like I said, only once stepped up and got KOed. I'm not that fool to think he's going anywhere near top15.

F Fat Dan. All he cares about is his free meals at the Heart Attack Grill for being well over 350 pounds. HBO is getting canceled in my house today. They don't know f'n **** about boxing. And neither does fat Dan. :deal

The Macao fight won't give Chauncy the exposure he really needs, though. The opponent is obscure and the venue is off-shore and off-TV. What Chauncy really needs now, at any price, are fights that somehow heighten his profile with the public.

"Contender" may or may not be the answer. The upside is that if Chauncy wins (very strong possibility), then presto: he's a recognizable name. He could also parley his televised tournament victory into popularity. That would clinch him a big fight on HBO or Showtime.

The downside to "Contender" is that, if Chauncy is behind on points after 3 rounds (possible...anyone in the world could be behind after 3), then he gets a loss on his record, which he can't afford. That could kill his chances with HBO or Showtime.

The other move Chauncy could make to heighten his profile is to beat a recognizable name in an off-TV fight. He could bring in Oliver McCall, maybe, for a Jefferson City fight off of TV. If Chauncy wins (highly probable), then his people could publicize the win up and down the media, and people will suddeny know about him. That could lead to an HBO or Showtime date.

But exposure is the biggie for him right.
