Anybody see his shirt last night?

JESUS apparently no longer SAVES Byrd.

Sometimes people just don't know when to quit. He has been flat-footed for a few years already, was always feather-fisted, and now he has no reflexes either.

He's done. He'd have trouble beating me at this point...

I wouldn't spend a dime with that family. He looked terrified on his stool, not so much from George as from what was happening to him, and they pat him on the back and say "go git em!"

Jay Nady isn't much better. HTF could he even give Byrd the option of going on after the last KD.

And where was the fight Doc? What a ****in circus....

In Nevada no less. Their commission is supposed to be top notch.

I have nothing but huge respect for Chris Byrd and I feel very sad about what happened.

Hes a great fighter and a great, great person. I hope he recovers well.

To the contrary. That's why it's dangerous to have your family in the corner, they often push you MORE than would a more neutral party. They left him out there in that first Wlad fight with both eyes closed.

That' not funny, and I should not have laughed!

But I hope Byrd's ego does not get the best of him, and cause him to want to fight again, in order to try and go out on a win. I think he should let it go, as he is obviously not near what he once was, and has proven enough.

Probably the same way the guy on the left of your icon did...a lot of lying and his manager running constant distraction.

Byrd needs to retire, it's really not worth it anymore. He's had three stoppage losses in a row now.

Chris has nothing left to prove, I hope he retires and becomes a trainer. I still remember seeing him the first time on USA's Tuesday night fights back in like 96. I thought Jimmy Thunder was going to smoke him, but Chris took him out in the 9th, been a fan ever since. Class guy with a class career.

Tracy Byrd issued the following statement today to fans and friends concerned about her husband Chris after last night's loss to Shaun George: "Chris is ok. His spirits are HIGH. He is closer to the Lord then ever in his life and trusts that he will take care of everything. Chris is disappointed in last night..

"He said he was feeling off in the dressing room. Felt like his legs weren't there from the beginning of the fight. When he got dropped in the first round he hurt his shoulder. We believe it tore a rotator cuff and ultimately dislocated his shoulder during the course of the fight. We will have it examined on Monday. The injury really kept him from throwing his left.

"When Chris returned to the dressing room the doctors had to sedate him to pop his shoulder back in. The medicines were a bit overwhelming for his body and they couldn't wake him. The result of that was they had to rush him by ambulance to the hospital and use other meds to counteract the ones given to him in the dressing room. It was very scary for his friends and family. But he came through. His shoulder is very sore but he is feeling better.

"Chris congratulates Shaun George on his victory and hopes he takes advantage of the opportunity of his victory to the fullest and continues to work hard. Shaun and his wife have a baby on the way and wishes them the best."
