Should Cotto fight Berto if the opportunity is there?

I think this is the 'tune up'

He has had a few tough fights, but was spoonfed Gomez prior to Margarito - an easy fight

 

Not sure Berto has the pop to ko Cotto. SO yes, he should take that fight if he can. He'll probably win.

and then it gets more obscure.

my point being that he's had a baaaad shakeup after an amazing resume, and my gut tells me that, like kessler, cotto will be a bit shakey next fight. he's look great, but will kick his own ass everytime he thinks he makes a mistake, which could make him sloppy, etc. i think a berto fight would be too much for him right now.

 

Dont fight Berto . I say tune up fight,,,he deserved its not like he has been fighting no names for years.

 

Berto won't be availible, so it's a moot point. He should fight a big, durable Welter.

 

This would be a terrific fight and I think a fight Cotto could win, but it's definitely no gimme. I also agree a tune-up fight would make a lot of sense.

 

He should fight him since he can easily KO him. GO COTTO

 

exactly i highly doubt that Berto's Camp will put him against Cotto right now. Later after a couple fights probably they will call him out

 

Berto's managers would be afraid to put him in with Cotto right now but I would love to see it. They could probably put him in with El Indio instead

 

I think Cotto would win by TKO, but its a risky fight and he doesn't have much to gain by taking it. Berto is still unproven and unknown. He'd be just as good taking a rematch with Judah or fighting Collazo maybe, or even Cintron.
