Be relegated out of the P4P list, it's not like the welterweight division is thriving like it has been throughout the history of boxing, two cowards refuse two fight each other and yet their fans make excuses over and over again. Oh Uncle Al, oh PBC, Lol, this fight has been on the cards for about 5years and counting. This isn't a P4P fight anymore it's a mediocre title fight. Also will the Same happen with the lightweights, the yanks Davis, Haney, Garcia, Shakur. Will they also duck each other aswell. Is it a pride thing or do they have no cajones and heart? Twitter warriors. I thought Crawford was a cold blooded dawg. Yeh right!!! Anyway no p4p lists should allow cowards!!
P4P is a made up imaginary list with no legitimacy or weight or value. There are only a handful of men who deserve recognition as being the best fighters, men who have gone unbeaten through many era's of crappy "P4P" lists. Any fighters who care about P4P like Canelo or Crawford should be immediately admonished. Fury, Usyk, That little Japanese dude and maybe a few more are the real men. It's sad that Usyk will lose to the hand of Fury but to be willing to test himself to that limit and achieve HW champ status is all Usyk needed to do, to even compete with Fury is an achievement.
Written like a true coward. Neither guy is afraid of the other. The business part is the hold up. Crawford recently chose an easy $10 million fight.
p4p list is personal. You can remove them from your list if you feel like it. We live in a free forum
It was always an overrated fight anyway and it certainly is nowadays.. people salivate over it like it's some Duran v Hagler mark II.. what's the best win between them Shawn Porter lol.. American boxers are fkin cringe these days
Management within the PBC seem to be the problem you never hear much from Al Haymon but if that fat ass clown Leonard Ellerbe who seems to be Tanks main promoter is anything to go by then it's obvious why big fights can't get made.
Unfortunately the pathological obsession with protecting that 0 has become so all consuming, that it's become a paralyzing mental impairment with many fighters, promoters and managers. I'm not even sure it's a coward thing at this point, but because of the way fans turn on, write off and usually relentlessly bash a fighter after they take a L, that's enough to petrify them into avoiding anyone they see as a potential threat. It used to be a case of a fighter taking an L, the fans shrugging and saying, "oh well, you'll do better next time champ!" Now fans put so much passion, emotional investment and fanboy worship, that combined with their fickle nature and lack of emotional maturity, the moment their favorite fighter loses, they feel like a betrayed jilted lover, and end up detesting the fighter, and hating themselves for ever being a fan of that fighter. Frequently going into full blown denial that they were ever a fan, or like on this site, into hiding and refusing to ever post again. So when you have a potential fallout like that awaiting you, I could see how that could make some fighters, especially American ones, where this kind of reaction is commonplace, a bit skittish. I mean, when you have an army of assholes on the web, the moment you take a loss, saying **** this guy, he should retire, even when they're in their early 20's, I mean that's a beyond irrational reaction, and one that inhibits people from taking chances. People don't watch the sport anymore, simply to enjoy a good fight, regardless of wins and losses on a record, like you and I do, they enjoy it as a pissing contest and one upmanship contest with internet fanboys. So until that toxicity subsides, this ducking pattern will sadly persist.
