    Business is business.

Like when fury drops a rant on hearn. It means nothing in the grand scale of things. If there is money to be made the past means little

Agreed that it's just business and the talk of the promoters mean nothing. However if it is about the money then Whyte would be stupid to leave Hearn. Not only has he made him a PPV boxer but if Whyte moved to FW then he would never get the AJ fight as business between the two promoters will never ever happen.

Hearn must be pissed off behind the scenes with Whyte. Eddie is loyal to people who believe in him, the more they believe he will do a good job for them the better promotion he does. You can see it with Froch, Bellew and AJ who have all been with him. He puts the work in. Dillian was nowhere when he was coming off a 2 year drug ban. Yet he got a shot at the British title almost straight away with AJ on Box Office. Even after a KO loss, a **** poor performance vs Allen, Hearn stuck by him. To get Whyte to where he is, headlining on PPV before becoming champion. I am surprised that they have a fight by fight deal, I wonder how many other fighters Matchroom have with this. Whyte just needs to be patient he gets a shot at AJ sooner or later with the WBO. At the moment he is causing more harm to his career by mouthing off.

A move to PBC does what? Gets Whyte a shot at the WBC in 2020? Wilder has a Fury rematch to get through and if he somehow gets through that surely his mandatory will have to be called?

It’s a tough one for Dillian as he’s literally in no mans land. He’s got himself in a good position but now there’s no champions to fight he’s only really got Ortiz (already tied up for next fight) and Povetkin who are both very dangerous.

Maybe go after Bryan for the WBA regular and a mandatory position?

    Over £4 mil isn't a lowball offer.

Is it even relevant. Let's say for arguments sake AJ gets £15 - £20 million.

Can anyone argue AJ isn't with 3 - 4 x more than Whyte?

I have no problem with Whyte turning it down but it isn't a lowball offer. If he beats AJ he has the keys to the city but its not about beating AJ. Its about trying to cash out.

Whyte trying to cash out? I’m not a fan but give the lad some credit. So out of £20m Whyte would be getting essentially 20%. That’s a low ball offer. If Whyte has managed to hit 500,000 ppv’s against Parker then in this country at least, he’s a bit of draw and deserves more than 80/20. Greed.

Whyte also don't buy the keys to the castle routine
Boxers have a short career and he is making sure he gets paid
I'm also no fan but he ain't daft
    Although slightly delusional

I think Whyte holds out for another 1 or 2m takes the fight. Loses then signs with PBC and will eventually be lined up for Wilder after Fury and Breazeale. If Wilder beats Fury that is.

I haven't discounted this being choreographed, fake drama to build interest in a fight that many have been taking for granted. All of a sudden it's in doubt, Whyte has options, promoters are queuing up for his services, AJ could be left high and dry, oh no, we won't get the fight we secretly wanted all the time....

    Oh look he's signed.

    That said,

Whyte has featured on PPV but always up against guys who brought a significant following of their own, Parker through the AJ fight, Chisora as the old warhorse who knows how to sell a fight. How would he have done against a guy with little or no following who can't speak english. No so well I'd venture...

Secondly, all this has been done with Sky and Matchroom support in the domestic market which they dominate. Could he deliver similar figures on itv or bt sport? Maybe...

Thirdly, the capacity to deliver domestic audiences loses much of its market value when the opponent already has that market sewn up. The punters Whyte brings are already tuning in for AJ, so Whytes added value isnt as high as it would be against other opponents. Frankly this is one reason why Whyte may actually be worth more to another promoter.

Is 33% vs Joshua more than 66% vs Brazeale? - not saying these figures are accurate but there can't be much in it what ever the potential splits.

It's pretty obvious that Wilder is on borrowed time whether Fury outpoints him or Whyte or Joshua KOs in which is why Showtime are courting Whyte.

I personally think he should target Brazeale then he'll be mandatory for both champions.

He should stay with Hearn ( better the devil u know theory ) and his time will come. In the meantime he can pick up a few million on the way. Feel for him though cos he’s genuinely done it the hard way and deserves a crack. His day will come.

If Haymon hasn't been able to promote wilder that well in the states it will turn out even worse for dillian should he go to pbc.
Eddie is the best man for whyte, he should stay, although Gillian shouldn't be lowballed either.
