His weakness - poor punch resistance from uppercuts - means he'll get stopped by any prime decent heavyweight. Should he retire, or continue on as a gatekeeper?
He can become like Chisora and fight purely for entertainment and money. The WBC will never give him another chance
Since Chisora is almost done, this makes sense. He can take over the division gatekeeper to the star spot. But hey, Fury, Usyk and Joshua are all near the end, so if he wanted to hang around, he may get a shot at an alphabet belt.
Another fight with Chisora? He won't get another title shot after that performance he looked clueless.
No, he just has a glass chin and Fury was levels above him. Whyte was always bottom of the barrel top ten. And as a big name with no punch resistance and 34 years old. Whyte is the next gatekeeper. It's time to feed him to the upcoming heavyweights like Jared Anderson and Arslanbek Makhmudov. He will be a stepping stool for future top fighters and i think it's a great idea
He won’t retire. People are dumb enough to buy his fight so he will milk it for all he can. He’s been conning people this long , so why stop now.
Not if he doesn't want to. He can still be useful to the division as a name for guys to test themselves, maybe even add one last good win to his career. If he feels in his heart that there's nothing more to do after falling to the top boy, then he should ride into the sunset.
Crap! Voted no but meant yes. That's what happens when I start drinking in the middle of the afternoon. Retire Dillian!
He’s never going to be world champion so like others have already said, the best he can do now is be a Chisora-like gatekeeper. We saw from their 2 fights together that they’re really not that far apart in terms of skill level. But with his glass chin, is getting knocked out repeatedly and sustaining all that brain damage really worth the couple of quid he’ll get from it? Not really imo. It’s been a decent career at the end of the day: considering his limited skill set, he’s made a lot of money and he should be happy with that. He should be a man and give Otto Wallin his fight, then retire with his millions. There are far worse ways to bow out.
I doubt he will. Especially if Fury walks he can get another crack at it..Dear old Bruno got 4 attempts
