Personally I don't think the point he had deducted was necessarily correct. I heard it was for leaning and I'm didn't see the ref give him a warning for that. Anyway .. Dirrell did use another illegal tactics which I feel he definitely should have been warned repeatedly for and given one or more deductions if he didn't stop. And that is his ducking with his face to the ground. According to the rules it is illegal to turn your back or duck in the waist so that you face the ground. Dirrell did this illegal tactics repeatedly. When you duck you are supposed to use your legs while still facing the opponent. This is in the rules to protect the fighter from getting hit in the back. Dirrell instead bends in the waist and faces the ground. Clearly illegal and imo. Dirrell definitely warranted warnings and if he didn't stop deductions for this. Discuss.
The only point deduction should have been Froch for rabbit punching behind the head. And maybe for being made to look like such a fool when he had Dirrell in the corner, beating up the air like that.
hitting on the break, body slamming like its the ****ing WWE. . . and countless rabbit punching. . . . . the ref worked for Frotch all night long
Froch hit on the break twice. Blatantly. I don't think Dirrell should have been penalized at all. And I bet on Froch. I needed him to win.
Let's be honest here, it's not as if either man fought a clean fight. Hitting on the break, excessive clinching, rabbit punching, wrestling, bending at the waist to eliminate the face as a target....it was just ugly all around. I can't believe there's people subjecting themselves to watching it multiple times voluntarily. I just don't like any time a fighter gets a point deducted without an adequate warning.
