Should DLH go for an easy fight or a big name?

Oscar is the #1 contender to the WBC super welterweight title ...

I'm sure that would be a big fight and would produce some nice PPV numbers considering they're both from Cali and DLH has a great fan base. Mora has a decent fan base as well.

 

point taken but you're being overly harsh re his recent record. losing close on points to fmj ain't bad, and if you're including the sturm fight, you oughta include the mayorga fight. mayorga ain't an easy fight despite what others say and he's about as "elite" as sturm is. granted odlh isn't what he was, but you're talking a pretty tough set of opponents in pbf, hopkins (esp at middle), and mosely and the other guys aren't bad either (sturm at middle is a tough test for a natural welter and again mayorga is a tough guy).


Back to topic: oscar should take a challenging fight or simply retire. why "fans" pay good money to see a mismatched insignficant fight is beyond me.

 

Mora is not that much. If you saw the Forrest fight you would have seen a no better than a B fighter beating a way over the hill Forrest. Mora is not great and never will be. If you can't see that you are not good at analyzing fighters. Margarito is even better than Mora and I don't think Margo is that much either. Slow, telegraphs his punches and has poor boxing skills. Another "B" fighter. And actually the "B" class is probably giving them the benefit of a doubt. If Oscar chooses either of those two to fight it's going to be hillarious reading the posts from the Oscarsexuals stating how great they are.
Oscars in a real spot now. His ego drives him to go out with a win. The guy keeps losing except to the likes of a Forbes who could not even come out a winner on the Contender series. Forbes actually created some trouble for Oscar dolng more damage than anyone imagined.
As much as I dislike the bisexual crossdressing *** I'm starting to feel sorry for him. He just can not find a good fighter he can beat. He could never beat the elite even in the prime of his career. Now he even has trouble with the good fighters. 3 losses in his last 5 fights. Now that's sad.

 

Look I agree with you, Mora is NOT very good and I think Oscar would give him a serious boxing lesson. But what the **** is your problem, Oscar is far from his best and looking for a farewell fight. Why not go after a beatable WBC Champion??? Whether you like him or not, the guy has done alot for our sport and fought THE BEST (besides Wright) of his generation...let him have a good final outing and walk away a champion :deal

 

I want to see a bloodied, and battered Oscar, kayoed by a vicious Cotto, and end his career without a belt. :deal
