He was very over powered last night.

Can he still have a career down at 122?
Im sure Hearn would love to bring him to the UK, especially after watching last night.

    Yes he should.

He quite possibly still will beat any 122lber not named Rigo. I thought he looked fast and dangerous last night until he got overpowered, he wasn't outclassed or exposed imo. Unless he has lost the hunger/drive for it (which is possible) he should still be a player at world level esp at 122.

Hearn would not love to bring him to the UK I reckon, Donaire is a tough fight for Quigg

His power carries so he shouldn't drop down. He almost knocked Walters out.

He didn't win the fight because Walters hit him harder than he has ever been hit. The answer for him is to keep fighting at this weight until he beats Walters or loses to Walters again and then move up in weight.

Donaire has the frame that he can fight and become a champion at 140. Will he do it? Marquez managed to do it, Pacquiao managed to do it, and Donaire could do it too because his power and stamina both carry up well.

Donaire just got knocked out by a naturally gifted fighter. From what I saw of the fight while his power carried up he was fighting in the wrong style which didn't take full advantage of his power. I think he needs to go back with Garcia or find a different trainer who can help him move up in weight and win.

Donaire seems to be in the same place Shane Mosley once was.

So did Marquez. It takes a while to grow into a new weight class but based on his body type he can get to 140. He has height and he's going to get bigger as he ages naturally.

The question isn't whether or not he looks soft but whether or not his power carries up. He nearly knocked out Walters so he does have power which carried up. Whether he looks soft or hard has nothing to do with his ability to hurt the opponent.

He should stay at 126, win another title from someone else and then rematch.

He shouldn't fight Rigo. That is the one fight he has little chance of winning. He can beat Walters by KO or by outboxing him in a rematch. He can't even hit Rigondeux.

Donaire lost this fight because he had poor defense, not good head movement, and he took too many punches at a weight class he wasn't used to. He just didn't have much time to fight at 126 to adapt to that weightclass.

Going down in weight isn't where the money is. If he can move up to 140 he can make much more money, but first he should fight at 126.

Donaire doesn't have the fire anymore. And he doesn't have the defensive skills to survive at the higher where his power is obviously greatly diminished. He's a daddy now. He should take his millions and go be a daddy somewhere. He's not championship material anymore

Defense can be learned though. If he doesn't want to fight anymore then he's unwise to continue but if he wants to fight he has to improve his head movement. He's talented enough to take his career much further than 126.

Since he lost to Rigo, he wasn't the same anymore.. Looking for easy way outs, too much head hunting and stuff. He should retire imo.

He should go down to 122 and put a beating on Scott Quigg. That fight is made for him.

There is no way he should be going above 126.

122 would be much better for him. Its not just about HIS power carrying up, its about his ability to physically compete with guys as big anjd strong as Walters.

He almost knocked Walters out. He was competitive. If he got outclassed or bullied I'd agree but he held his own in that fight which leads me to believe he could beat anyone at that weight on a good day.

Also as he gets older he has to move up in weight. His speed and reflexes will slow down and he will also have to rely on technical adaptations.

The deciding factor will be whether or not he can develop the defensive skills. His offense will easily allow him to carry his power and speed to 140 but will his defense allow him to fight up there and not get hit too much? Pacquiao and Mayweather are hard to hit which is why they could fight at 140.

 @ the people saying he should move down. WHy? So he can dominate over midgets again? The reason he supposedly looked bad against Rigo and avoided the rematch was because he could no longer make weight. How foolish would he look now?
