I think boxers who lose should also be able to void a fight if they say they weren't trying the first time.

lol, how about they spar, before talks begin :)

'he owned me in sparring, but no way he will own me with no headgear'

only person who likes this idea is Khan, and Marquez

Khan cause of the headgear to protect his fragile jaw.

and Marquez cause it sometimes takes 4 ****ing fights to finally get a W over a one dimentional midgit fraud or got his ass kicked by Tim Bradley.

No, I don't believe there's any negative energy here, in fact you've done a very powerful thing that I'm not sure we'll ever see again.

It doesn't matter if you're white/black, tall/short, fat/skinny, Pac fan/May fan, boxing historian/casual fan - the entire ESB forum is united as one in agreeing that this is the dumbest thing since the legendary flawed/floored thread.

people are gonna take your post seriously with that stupid gay avatar you have up?

  13. I think this is a fantastic idea and add to the stragey.

Image in the rehearsal if Boxer A thought "I'm going to fool this guy into thinking I can't punch the skin off a rice pudding" but it the actual fight he showed the true extent of his power. Or they thought I will make him think I'm a sucker for a left hook but on fight night when they so their opponent going for it, they dropped the with a savage right uppercut.

Plus if the fight was a yawner like Mora vs Mosley they could say- listen fellas your going to have to up the ante for the real fight or you won't be on TV anytime soon after, like when WWE have matches when the camera's aren't on then they main event Royal Rumble.

    :happy

I agree, rehearsal matches are a pretty damn awesome idea if you think about it. People are talking about possible injuries but fighters could use extra protection to minimize them, like a full body kendo armor and clown gloves for example, that way they would arrive to the real fight in good shape but with a much better idea of what to expect from the opponent.

    :good

  15. I know!!!

The OP is getting a lot of stick because he has fresh and original thoughts and doesn't do endless Pac/Marquez ped threads or about Mayweather all the time.
