Should fighters who pop for gear after a fight be handed a DQ loss?

Absolutely agree with you. People dont realize how much PEDs can make a difference. Look at Canelo in the first Golovkin fight and the second Golovkin fight. Canelo was struggling to fight a full three minute round on the back foot in the first fight but in the second fight he was able to stand and trade with Golovkin for the entirety of the fight. A no contest is not harsh enough. A year long ban and a DQ loss should be the standard imo.

That's a very good idea. I also think fighters who have fights cancelled cos they were juicing should have it on their record.

That’s because nobody really gives a s***. All those tears from Hearn over Patrick Day and only weeks later he’s been found out moving Chavez who just been caught doping to a location outside of the normal jurisdiction.
Same applies to Whyte,Fury and Canelo.
I believe Yarde and Kovalev have both stated that WADA is also a joke and that they hardly got tested of late.
It’s not like someone testing hot in a team sport, in boxing it now means a cancellation of the fight and loss of revenue for all concerned.

The irony of this is he was enrolled in 365 day VADA testing for the rematch. If he had better stamina whilst being drug tested more stringently, that would dispell the myth that he was taking a PED to improve stamina. And BTW I think you are misinterpreting his stamina aspect of it. In the first match he was using a lot of footwork which does tire you out. In a way it requires less stamina to stand and trade vs constantly being on your bike.

I have no faith in drug testing. I believe VADA holds on to urine and blood samples for 10 years now since the detection technology is so far behind.
