Should Floyd Fight The Winner Of Sergio-Cotto?

Floyd vs Cotto rematch was my preferred fight for Floyd in May. If Cotto beats Sergio, a rematch should definitely happen.

 

Pacquiao has expressed a desire to never fight above the Welterweight limit again (did it once, at 150, for Margarito). So I don't think that statement really applies...

 

Floyd should have fought these guys when they were in his prime. Instead, he fights bums, padded records, hype jobs, overrated fighters with more name value than substance, fighters who have more marketability than skill, guys past their prime, paper champions, or some combination of this. Marquez is the only exception in his whole career to the aforementioned flaws - and Marquez was undersized and tailor made for Floyd.

Not the quality of a top 35 p4p fighter.

 

That rematch won't be happening ever because Martinez is gonna zap Cotto rather easily and retire him.
