Should Floyd Mayweather even be considered in the p4p rankings any more?

Floyd has fought 2 times in the last 33 months, so how can someone who's only fought 2 times in the last 33 months, one fight against a lightweight and one fight against a shot 38 year old, be considered a top p4p fighter today? Floyd is my personal favorite fighter to watch, he's such a great technician, but how can we consider him the best when he never fights?

Floyd is P4P #1 woman beater at the moment.

Might as well take most of the top 10 fighters in each division off the list because a lot of them haven't fought in over 5 months.

    ****ing idiot.

There is a difference. Mayweather said he's taking a year vacation fine no list for him then. He can't leave whenever he wants and expect to be top dog when he wants.

    Ooh so testy.

Let's put your theory to the test and see how many times these fighters have actually fought in the last 33 months.

Wladimir Klitschko = 6 wins in that timespan
Manny Pacquiao = 6 wins in that timespan
Bernard Hopkins = 3 wins 1 loss in that timespan
Vitali Klitschko = 5 wins in that timespan
Juan Manuel Marquez 3 wins 2 losses in that timespan
Paul Williams = 6 wins 1 loss in that timespan
Lucian Bute = 5 wins in that timespan
Timothy Bradley = 6 wins in that timespan
Juanma = 9 wins in that timespan
Andre Dirrell = 6 wins 1 loss in that timespan

Jean Pascal = 6 wins 1 loss in that timespan
Fernando Montiel = 7 wins 1 draw in that timespan
Sergio Martinez = 4 wins 1 draw 1 loss in that timespan
Miguel Cotto = 4 wins 2 losses in that time span
David Haye (lol) = 4 wins in that time span
Amir Khan = 8 wins 1 loss in that time span
Andre Berto = 6 wins in that time span
Andre Ward = 8 wins in that time span
Devon Alexander = 8 wins in that time span

I'm gonna take a shot in the dark here that Floyd's wonderful style, and his whopping 2 victories in the last 33 months isn't enough to overcome what these other gentlemen are doing. He hasn't earned that p4p spot as of late and that's a fact people.

So you believe all those you listed should be ranked higher than Floyd?
Also, you're adding an extra 21 months to that.
He fought twice in 12 months, not in 33.

I think it will be a while before a ***** gets back to you, and if they do, it will usually be how about 'Floyd does not need to fight", or "Floyd Makes so much money, that we are all jealous blah blah yadda yadda".

Oh really, he's fought 2 fights in the last 33 months. Name a 3rd fight from the last 33 months. You don't get it. He's not even an active fighter any more. If you want to list Floyd's last 3 fights it spans 34 months. So basically in the last 3 years he's quit, came back, quit, came back, and quit again.

Hell no they shouldn't all be ranked over him from a talent standpoint, he'd be right at the top. That's why I'm asking for everyone's opinion. How can we rank someone who doesn't even fight?

So he's fighting once a year? Where's the rule where you have to fight more than once a year to be ranked? He's ranked bcuz when he fights he's beating top P4P opponents or champions....

    Floyd Mayweather = 2 fights 12 months
    Manny Pacquiao = 2 fights 12 months
    Paul Williams = 2 fights 12 months
    Sergio Martinez = 2 fights 12 months
    Shane Mosley = 2 fights 12 months
    Miguel COTTOE = 2 fights 12 months

    See.
That list can easily be filled with more boxers.

Once a year? :good Ok dude.

Floyd fought a lightweight, and a 38 year old shot fighter who couldn't even land a meaningful combination to save his life against a contender reality boxer.

What's "bcuz"? Is it that hard to spell out because?

Um, I'm starting to sense that you are a Floyd apologist based on your emotional response to the question. Oh the fighters you just listed, all of them will be fighting soon, when's Floyd's next fight? 2 fights in 33 months.

God, I'm getting sick of this Mosley is shot so Floyd deserves no credit nonsense. Just because he looks less than great in his next fight against someone many here predicted would be a stylistic nightmare for him, doesn't mean you can take credit away from him for a dominant victory. If you wanna do that, then how's this *******s:

Hatton was so shot that he retired right after fighting Pacquiao, he can't compete at all with today's 140s, so even he knows its time to hang them up. Pac should get no credit.

DLH was so shot, he retired right after fighting Pacquiao, knowing it would all be too embarassing from there on. Pac should get no credit.

Clottey hasn't been heard from since, no one is even considering him when talking about the top WW matchups. Pac should get no credit.

Morales was went on to lose to David Diaz since Pacquiao, and has been fighting the Jose Alfaros of the world since. Pac should get no credit.

How do you like this game Pac nut huggers?
