Should Floyd Mayweather even be considered in the p4p rankings any more?

You said he fought 3 times in 34 months right? 12 months x 3 fights ...36 months would be once a year? :huh

Floyd fought a lightweight who was listed what P4P? Like top 3? Then he fought the WBA welterweight champion? Before that undefeated Hatton boy?

First of all I'm a Floyd fan. Secondly I agree Pacquiao has fought the right guys at the right time too. They don't call Freddie Roach the best matchmaker in the sport for nothing.

At least Pacquiao fights though. I'm so far off the Floyd Bandwagon I need a racecar to catch back up to it.

Did you understand the word? Then no need to worry about the spelling.

lol Marquez was so bloated and slow in that fight. If you didn't notice a natural size difference and don't want to acknowledge that Marquez was merely a tune up, well, you are helpless.

Margarito will be having his first fight in 23 months in november (garcia doesn't count hes a bum)
Pacquiao fighting Margarito who hasn't fought in 23 months (margarito proven to be a bum without his plaster, being destroyed by the bum floyd most recently fought)
Pacquiaos last fight was against hatton, (cotto at a catchweight, clottey didn't fight back, more of a sparring session)
So when is Pacquiao fighting again?

Antonio Margarito was suspended. Once again, I'm a Floyd fan. I've been watching his entire career since his ESPN and HBO undercard days. I'm just calling it how it is, he's not a proven top p4p fighter any more.

stupid thread...of course..if your basing it off "inactivity" than u might wanna go check with other fighters...i seen fighters stay on the rankings without even fighting for over 12 months....

funny how floyd is pointed out when there are other fighters that clearly fit this more so than Floyd..

    shows the hate

Yes, the classic cop-out word "hate". I guess you guys who disagree aren't hardcore fight fans.

your an idiot the guy had a year suspension from the sport in califonia, he took no fights during that time frame. The point the TS is trying to make is that all the top guys fight at least twice a year if possible while floyd only fights once a year and does not take the tougher fights. Cotto and Clottey were both in their prime when they fought pacquaio...marquez and mosley were not in their prime when they fought mayweather. Also it looks like Clottey is gonna be fighting at middleweight from now on.

It just depends on how you judge. I don't think it's a matter of right or wrong. The Klits in my opinion deserve to be in the top 10 yet Ring Magazine will not recognize them no matter who they beat. You can make a case for Floyd being on the list based on his natural talents and the fact that he hasn't officially retired. You're the judge and if you want him off your list so be it.

Maybe Andre Ward should fight Manny Pacquiao next so he can be like Floyd Mayweather cherry picking fights against smaller fighters.

Void is, P4P, the best woman beater ever! Hell, his Uncle Roger knows how to beat up women also. I guess Roger knew how to train him best!

Cotto was a prime fighter until Margarito made him his *****.

    Clottey doesn't even fight back.
