Should Floyd Mayweather jr be credited for boxing's resurgence?

    I think so....Him and Manny have been the main reason boxing has been given primetime attention on national cable networks.

    To say Floyd is the biggest name in sports today is way over the top...in boxing, absolutely....But there are way BIGGER names in the world of sports than Floyd. Floyd is the highest paid athlete but that doesn't translate into "the biggest name".

    Fmj ate the heart of boxing. Fighting mismatched fighters once a year during his prime. Explicitlh saying he doesn't want to get hurt. Taking Large ppvs while up and coming boxers get nothing. Polarising the big promoters to ensure fighters only fight within a selected stable.

    The one biggest reason for boxing's death.

    this. i do think the money may character has contributed too. can't point towards one thing but many different things.

    but the globalization of boxing is huge.
