And three out of those five werre outside the UK. Bute has had no major fights outside Quebec. In fact he's had hardly any major fights at all!!:rofl

Since he's Romanian, we could say that all his pro fights except 1 were abroad. :D

Most people on here were saying Abraham has the perfect style to beat Froch and look how that turned out.

In order to gain any credibility,Bute needs to grow some balls and fight world class fighters away from home, rather than Jesse Brinkley in Quebec

Hey laffie , hows things ?

I know I know but Jeez , Ward beats Kess at home and a bit questionably , yer man Bute stops Andrade ( IN A REMATCH ) and both are respectively the greatest SMW around.

Froch has a resume thats almost unheard of in recent times and he's not getting the repsect he deserves.

Both guys MIGHT have the ability to beat him , but until one of them does , Carl HAS to be the Man.

For some ppl if a fighter is white fighting a black guy, the white fighter has to obliterate the black opposition in order to get credit, if they give any at all!:verysad.... Dirrell lost, deal with it!

It is my opinion based on my boxing experience, you can clearly see that Bute is superior to Froch skill wise, we will see who is better out of them in the next 2 years...in this moment Froch has a superior resume.

Overall, Froch has a stronger case but a couple points are being forgotten:

Pascal was not regarded as an A level win when Froch beat him. Dirrell was also just an unproven prospect at the time of Froch fight. It wouldn't be until Pascal upset Dawson and Dirrell upset Abraham that they jumped into the rankings...and Froch came out looking like gold. This is of course subject to change.

You can't really rank fighters this way...I mean its unlikely but case in point, what if Abraham upsets Ward. Would Dirrell reclaim a top spot based off what Abraham did after he fought him.

Taylor was ranked #5 in the world, he was a former lineal Champion, it was a strong win. Abraham at #6 was another strong win in large part because so few thought Froch would be so convincing.

But also, Andrade was a top 5 fighter both times Bute beat him. They are much better wins than you are given credit for, especially the rematch KO after such a close initial fight.

Styles make fights, until they at very least fight the same guys there is no way to tell who has the better ability so they can ONLY be ranked on achievements

What doesn't work in your post is the balls part. That's bull****. If Bute didn't have balls, he wouldn't have signed a 6 millions $ contract with Showtime that will make him face the super six fighters.

By the way, Jesse Brinkley and Allan Green are the same in my book. The super six doesn't bring only tough fights.

We will see, I hope Froch wins the tournament and Bute wins against 2 big names untill then and then we will have a mega-fight in Romania or UK.

Id agree thats harsh , rematching Andrade straight away took guts and you're right Alan Green is the same level as Brinkley.

Bute is a good fighter and may well go on to be the top 168lber but as for now thats Carls spot.

indeed ! Again though, I'm not saying Bute couldnt beat froch but a fight yet to happen cant be used for ranking purposes.
